N A T H A N
...my dream August 2016
It was late afternoon, early evening.
The sun was hitting the ground with a beautiful golden glow.
Two people were surrounded by what seemed like hundreds of tall trees, all so straight, all reaching for the suns last rays of light as the day was coming to an end.
I could see through the eyes of the girl.
I looked down and felt it was not my body but I felt what she felt.
I could see what she was seeing.
She was facing him. Looking slightly up towards him.
Their arms were lapsed over eachothers.
His hat dipped down unable to seem his face clearly.
It was amazingly quiet with no one in sight. Just the trees and them.
He leaned in slowly towards her and with a nervousness she leaned in to him and their lips touched and they kissed.
A rush of anxiety and fear ran through her body as she pulled back suddenly and said
'No Nathan.. I can't do this to you'.
As she ran I no longer saw through her eyes but saw them both from a distance.
The wind picked up slightly as Nathan yelled
'wait!....wait!!.. please don't...'
He reached out and ran after her.
He caught up to her and grabbed her hand as he turned her around, tears were streaming down her face.
He put his hands up to her face and wiped her tears with his thumbs as she kept on crying.
'Wait' he said.
She cries 'But the 7 year gap is too much, I can't do that to you. Your friends will think ..'.
He stops her and says 'they will think what? There is no 7 year gap. Its you and me. I don't care what others may think.'
He draws her closer and kisses her again and brings her to his chest.
She feels a peace and a fullness as she wraps her arms around him.
